Rebuilding Macroeconomics after the Pandemic

Public Services Work

Covid-19, financial crisis and nationalism are all socio-economic pandemics in the last ten years and have caught us unprepared. If we are to be prepared for the next pandemic or crisis, we need a different approach to economics.

This Global Table argues the need to put social foundations at the centre of rebuilding macroeconomics and economic policy. Part of the Digital Global Solutions Summit, watch the panel discussion on the Global Solutions website.

Chaired by Angus Armstrong (ESRC’s Rebuilding Macroeconomics), with Henrietta Moore (UCL Institute for Global Prosperity), Wendy Carlin (UCL), Paul Collier (Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford) and Alan Kirman (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociale).
