The IGP's Rebuilding Macroeconomics held a Festschrift to celebrate the career and research of Alan Kirman on the 16-17th March at the Bank of England, Moorgate Auditorium.
IGP Director Professor Henrietta Moore opened the Festschrift with introductory remarks on Alan's contributions and how Rebuilding Macroeconomics is rethinking the economy for people and planet building on Kirman’s insights, by placing human interaction at the centre of its analysis, and investigating how such interaction responds to uncertainty.
Keynote speakers included Samuel Bowles (Santa Fe Institute), James Heckman (University of Chicago), Lucrezia Reichlin (London Business School) and Joseph Stiglitz (Columbia University).
